Success Stories

🎨 Heen Art Classes

Heen Art Classes are a creative initiative under the Women for Women Alliance that offer a therapeutic and empowering space for women and youth in Wajir. These sessions go beyond just painting and drawing—they are designed to promote emotional healing, boost self-esteem, and encourage self-expression through various artistic mediums. Participants are guided to explore their inner creativity while developing new skills that can also open doors to economic opportunities, such as selling art or crafting handmade items. The classes foster a sense of community and well-being, especially for those who have experienced trauma or marginalization.

🧵 Tailor School

The Tailor School is a vocational training program aimed at equipping women with practical tailoring and fashion design skills. Participants learn the essentials of sewing, pattern-cutting, garment construction, and textile knowledge. With a hands-on approach, the program empowers women to become self-reliant by enabling them to start their own tailoring businesses or secure employment in the local textile and fashion sectors. This initiative not only boosts household incomes but also builds confidence and a sense of purpose among women, contributing to the broader goal of economic empowerment and gender equality in the community.

Empowering women in healthcare is not just a stride toward equality—it is the heartbeat of progress. “ When we champion women’s voices as healers, exleaders, and innovators, we unlock a future where compassion and expertise transform lives. Let us invest in their education, celebrate their resilience, and trust their vision, for every woman empowered in healthcare lights a path to a healthier, more equitable world.
